Default S60 - alignment after front struts needed? Need Quick Answer

Essentially, that's it.
Do I need alignment after front struts replacement? I'm in a time crunch
2007 Volvo S60 2.5 T.
Note - I need to drive over a 1000 miles next week, but local shops are all jammed up. So unless I absolutely need it, I'd rather not do it just yet.

Just a bit of personal experience and in no way a definitive answer. I recently installed a set of quick struts from IPD in the driveway on my 09. I took it in for an alignment a couple of days later and after my install the alignment was still more or less dead on. In my case my case the alignment wasn't really needed but maybe I was just lucky.

You should do an alignment afterwards. Sometimes you get lucky and put them back the way in aligned, but a lot of times not.

You can do a quick and dirty DIY toe alignment using a straight edge tool, some careful measurements. Look online. If you marked your tie rod ends and your strut mount bolt locations and returned them to the same positions, you are probably okay
