S60 creaking steering

I have a 2007 volvo s60 2.5t awd and my steering was being really tight and when we jacked it up it’s made a creaking sound somewhere in the steering shaft when turned

Going to assume the steering shaft has a u joint in it. If so I would check it for seizing.

yeah we checked those and it’s farther the sound come from farther up closer to the firewall
