RE: power seat dont work
My 2002 V70 does the same. I replaced the module under the seat with one from the scrap yard, but that didn't fix anything. I have done some troubleshooting and the unit seems to not get any power after the initail 45 seconds. I believe one of the control boxes in the car has lost or corrupted the sofware and needs to re flashed. I have given up on this issueand will just live with it. If you find out what will fix it please let me know. Thanks.

RE: power seat dont work
if u replace a PSM (power seat module from the junk yard make sure it is the same part #) also try doing a PSM reload at the dealer around $40 for software + labor extra to intergrate module to network and to have latest software loaded to the PSM.

Solved - Software incompatibility
I ran into the same issue with a 2001 S60 - I installed seats harvested from a junk yard that were in better condition than the old ones in this car. The driver side power seat worked for about the first 45 secs but then the power functions shutdown. Eventually, after that car sat for a few hours, the seat works again, for another 45 secs.
I contemplated the problem being an incompatibility between the software version in the black box under the seat and/or control module, with what was stored in the vehicle's main computer that stores feature profiles for the car. I took the black box, and control module off the old power seat, installed it on the new donor seat, and....presto, problem solved.
I presume the computer runs some manner of power on self test, wherein in verifies software versions of certain components - if there is a mis-match with the stored value in the main control module, that component is disabled. The other way to fix this is to have the dealer flash the computer, but that cost $ so i just swapped back in the old black box. Power seat works perfectly now.
