S60 R (limited production?)
Is it true that the S60-R is a limited producted model?
Someone told me that 2006 is going to be the last year that the S60-R will be in production (due to lack of sales...)?
Is this true?
Thanks,
floatingFast

well many have fewer in stock because auto dealerships dont like to have lots of expensive stock on hand. so it is cheaper for them to have one R that is used for test drives and then get people to order them
Many have fewer in stock because there are less produced
I live outside of Philly, and the closet an R could be located with the equip. I wanted was in Pittsburgh. And that had a diff interior color than what I wanted (turned out for the better though). I rarely see an R in my area.
I did a quick search, it looks like Volvo produces 7500 s60 and v70 R's worldwide yearly.
I've also read in other forums that the R will be discontinued, but havent read anything official.

I NEVER see R's in my area. I live in Austin, Texas. The only R that I had seen prior to my purchase was at the 2005 Austin Auto Show. But since then, never. I go to Dallas from time to time and still dont see any around there either. I hope it stays that way. I had a 2003 Infiniti G35 coupe and hated it because everyone has one. S60R's are a little known secret and I hope it stays that way.
