s60 towing capacity

Hi, What is the towing capacity of a base model s60. I read somewhere 3000lbs. That seems pretty high. Is it possible?

Thanx

If i recall what it said in my 2005 manual for all S60 trim levels was 1650 lbs w/ a 300 lb. toungue weight. Someone correct me if I am wrong, this is off the top of my head.

In our country the towing capacity is stated on the registration papers of the car.
On my S60D5 year 2005 the registartion papers state max. towing permitted is 1600 Kg. (x2.2 is Lbs)

in the book to my S60 T5 it says like 3200 pounds.. thats a little high but i see it possible if you kept the tongue weight down.. has plenty of stopping power and lots of engine power soo.. i dont see why it couldnt manage.. iv seen a lot less pull a lot more...

Yeah maybe it is 1600kg or around 3200 lbs. I just want to pull an ATV and an ice fishing house. Should be around 1200 lbs. with the trailer.
