S60r awd
Hey everybody, im pretty excited I was just looking at 2004 S60R AWD w/ 125k and its automatic.
The car is in excellent condition, but i was just wondering of any common problem area, etc to look at. I realize its a volvo and the mileage is not an issue if the car was properly maintained, carfax has it with only 2 owners.
I have owned a 99 S70 that i had nothing but problems with, and i really don't want that again.
THANKS GUYS!

GET SERVICE HISTORY!!!!
Common problems with the cars are...
AWD failure from a few different trouble spots. Collar/angle gear ($2-3k fix) or the DEM ($1500ish fix). So make sure the AWD is working before you buy. I'd also take get the car to a good indie tech or a Volvo dealer to do a pre purchase inspection on the car.
Other then that there are a lot of little things but nothing really major. Keep in mind that parts for this car are not cheap in the slightest, so when you do have to replace parts, it will get expensive really fast. Buy parts from Tascaparts.com and you'll save a lot over a dealer or any other shop around.
