My 2001 S60T5 had only 80000m and was running like a charm...
When in a heavy traffic I was driving on manual mode (tiptronic) on second speed at about 40 mile an hour and by mistake on a stressfull situation,I pulled the stick to 1 speed ,insted of pushing it to 3 !!!!!!!!

Big noise and of course rpm overspeed till the end of the red line.......car lost is power showing a lot a fault on the display...and stop completely.
Do you think the engine is finished and tranny too ,or the valves bent touching the pistons caused by over revolution....or the timing belt simply sliped teeths
