Side View Mirrors 2006 S60

The rear defroster in both my side view mirrors have stopped working. To fix this do I need to replace the mirror glass only or do I have to replace the entire mirror?

Since all defrosters are not operating it might be prudent to check the fuse and switch first. Best of luck.
