RE: Stereo removal-2003 S60
I found this website when I was looking for removing the stereo to install a GPS bracket

I never actually got it out because I was afraid to break the climate control part as that is difficult to get out and it warns you about that in the instructions. Good luck, and if you get it out, please give a tip or two on how you got the climate control part out.

I would describe removing the climate control module as follows:
1. Remove the two screws at the base of the module
2. Slide the bottom out as far as you can (with a moderate amount of force)
3. With both hands, slide your fingers up the sides of the module using your fingers as a wedge to pry the module out even more (the top will stay locked in but that's OK).
4. Now instead of using your fingers as a wedge, use them as a fulcrum, by pushing down on the bottom of the module. This will make the top want to kick out, and if the angle's right, the whole thing will pop out.
That's it: wedge, then fulcrum. Don't worry, it won't break.
