Straighten/Align Steering Wheel

Straighten/Align Steering Wheel
Does anyone know if the basic person with basic tools can align the Steering Wheel?
The car is driving straight but for what-ever reason the wheel is just slightly off center. I am not sure if I can loosen something and just adjust it or if I need to take it to a garage.
As most of us here are into saving a buck when we can that is what I am trying to do too.
Any imput would be appreciated.
