Strange shifting 2003 S60 T5
 

My car has just started to intermittently pop into neutral while shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear - 108K miles - Auto trans.

It doesn't have this problem while driving in manual shift mode but from time to time it will surprise you in Auto mode.

Could this be a software problem?

Could be that or that is needs a tranny flush.
