What happened to the S60R?

What happened to the S60R?

I went to the volvo site to try and see what the new S60r would look like, and was unable to build one. When I went to the chicago autoshow there was no S60R there either. What gives? Did they stop making it?

Yes they discontinued the R in 2007 i believe. The new T5 shares many parts from the R though
