Wind noise due to mirrors?

Wind noise due to mirrors?
I have just bought a 2002 S60 2.4T. It drives well, but I think the wind noise is significant from 70 mph. Some reviews confirms my observations and states that the door mirrors was redesigned in 2004 to reduce wind noise.
Anyone here with experience from 2004 models, and pre-2004, that can say something about the noise reducing effect on the new design?
Is the noise reduced to a level that it is worth considering to replace the 2002 mirrors with newer ones?
Will 2004 or newer fit on my car?

RE: Wind noise due to mirrors?
Daggonnit, Gorme,
I recently complained @ wind noise in my '04 non-turbo, but despite the pedigree of the responders I didn't get much in the way of a good answer. The damn car has more wind noise than I expected it would. But maybe it's too quiet otherwise. I'll keep my eye on the responses to your post. Good luck.

RE: Wind noise due to mirrors?
Make sure the dealer doesn't try to sell you the whole trim package that is on the perimeter of the roof and the windshield. Sometimes the clips are worn out and the trim wobbles at speeds around 50mph. It is of course cheaper to replace just the clips than the whole trim.

Any updates on this?
I have a 2005 S60r and notice loud wind noise when driving over about 50mph. I thought it was a weather stripping problem and I have installed more and it doesn't seems to help. I also thought it could be coming from the center column between the doors. If I cover the hole where the seatbelt comes out, it seems to muffle the noise.
Any thoughts?
