TPS code first, then O2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1..

I may have to wait until the tester gets here to recheck. The Tech said TPS, then O2...

I replaced the air filter, and bought some fuel injector snake oil (lucas) and was thinking about running seafoam through the vacuum lines.. Don't want to damage anything so I will wait on that though..

If they were cleared see how fast they come back.

TECH- Thanks so much for your help first off.....

Couple developments, I inspected the ABS module today and all the soldiering looks fine, The unit is remanufactured and looks like new... ALTHOUGH while sifting through paperwork I noticed that 4 weeks ago the brake pads were replaced along with the Rotors were replaced.. How do you diagnose a damaged sensor?? From reading the sensors can become damaged during brake work correct?

Thanks again..

Possible but slim chance. You can Ohm the sensors to test them.

I would try to find a used TPS to try.
You might want to replace the O2 as well if it comes back right away.

Will an 850 TPS work? The bone yards around here only have 850's..

Great! I used a TPS out of a 1997 Turbo 850 and the part # was exactly the same. I put the TPS in my s70 and cleared the codes. The Check engine light went off for about 40 minutes but came back on. I read the codes again with my handy dandy reader- ONLy 1 code now.

02 sensor- Low volts bank 1 sensor 1.

I pulled a sensor off a 1995 N/A 850 in the hopes it may function. I may put it on tomorrow to see if it makes the 02 code dissapear...

What would cause low voltage to the 02?

Cool, I'll put the other one in. I picked up the TPS and the 02 sensor for $6.00.... I love the local junkyard...

They had 2 turbo 850's and 2 N/A's.. One Turbo was in great shape, I couldn't believe that that the car was there, it looked great.. I wonder if the engine had given out...

Any other bits I should be pulling off these cars at rock bottom prices? I figure i'd rather have a box of spares..... Especially at $3.00 a sensor.

So does the MAF always throw a code when it goes bad?

Cool. I ended up buying a Brand New Oem replacement O2 sensor.. The MAF doesn't seem to be malfunctioning.

Well the O2 sensor seems to have done the trick. The car no longer smells abnormally rich. Pretty much runs like a new car!
