If the grill is in decent shape try painting it black. I did it with mine (also on a black car) and love how it looks.
Quick cleaning with soap and water, rub down with 600 grit wet sandpaper, multiple coats of satin black spray paint and you're done for under $10. Sure beats $100 for a grill from ipd.
I took the "slash" and volvo logo off for painting and then put them back on after.

im thinking of driving the car to a professional car painter and letting him do his thing. so that if he messes up, he going to have paint it till he gets it right.
and about the gill, it already comes in black color, its black mesh style grille

How did you find a running S70 GLT for under $1k??? That is the deal of the day!
The best thing to do is protect your investment and make sure the timing belt has been replaced within the past 5 years or 50k. If not, do that 1st. Get the car running right, have the mounts replaced if they need to be, then work on cosmetics. Do it SMART.

yea i just gave the car to a good friend (mechanic) of my dad. he should check the car for any engine and brake problems
but i will defenetly tell him to check timing belt and mounts

i took the stock chrome grill and painted it black instead of buying an aftermarket one. unless the grill thats on there is already black...

If you think you will keep the car for more than 3 years get a good paint job. If not, go to MACCO. So, you will spend around $900 or $2,000.
