Maybe even try an oil additive? Might help a little.

You can access the owners manual here: http://www.volvocars.com/us/tools/Ow...lvoOwners.aspx

I'm pretty sure it's 10w 30.

Something like...

Never used it myself, but I've heard both good and bad things about it.

I don't understand what you mean by $900 for 8 parts.

Is the paint guy going to paint the entire car for $900 or just the areas that need it?

Some of them soften the seals because of the chemicals, others just make the oil thicker. Either way they seem to be a temporary fix for the most part.

I might use it for the short term, but wouldn't recommend it as a long term fix.

well honestly it just came out a little big for my budget. i own $2,000 to my parents and i dont have a job right now. but other than that it is a very nice and fun car to drive. its fast, comfortable and safe. anyway here is the add for the sale...

1998 Volvo S70 GLT - $4,500

hello, i have a 1998 Volvo S70 GLT. it is a really nice car and safe at the same time. a perfect first car for any one, doesnt matter the age. kids u get a fast, stylish vehicle, and parents get safety for their own kids. i dont see why anyone wouldnt want this car. the car does not has anything broken or damaged, it just like new. barely any scratches, and if there is any they are really small. the tires have been changed about 2 weeks ago, i still got the recipt. elingment and balancing have been done also and that same time. oil and oil filter was changed a week ago. everything is perfect. honestly i was making this car for myself, its fast, safe and good looking, but it just turned out a little expensive for an 18 year old, who also does not have a job. the car has 143,xxx miles on it. for a volvo that is nothing. volvo's go up to 250,xxx and even 300,xxx miles if taken care of. here is a little something to think about. volvos are made in sweden, the only car that is sold to the whole world from sweden. that means it has to be perfect in every way, has to get good milege, good on gas, and aslo fast at the same time and as you would have already known, volvo's are the safest vehicles out there. and with this car you get it all. also this was the last year volvo was independent, after '98 it was owned by ford. anyway enough of me talkingabout my vehicle, here are some statistics:

1998 S70 GLT Performance:

- Turbo compressor
- 2,435 cc 2.4 liters 5 in-line front transverse engine with 83 mm bore, 90 mm stroke, 9 compression ratio, light alloy block, light alloy head, double overhead cam and four valves per cylinder
- Premium unleaded fuel
- Fuel economy EPA highway (l/100km): 8.1
- Multi-point injection fuel system
- 70 liter fuel tank
- Power: 142 kW , 190 HP @ 5,200 rpm; 199 ft lb , 270 Nm @ 1,800 rpm
-Automatic Transmission
-ABS (4-Wheel)
-Traction Control
-Heating Seats
-Power Seats, Mirrors, Side Mirrors, Doors, Everything
-Alarm System
-143,xxx miles
-Leather Interior
-Sunroof/Moonroof
-Air Conditioning
-Cruise Control
-Compact Disc
-Alloy Wheels
-Dual Front Air Bags

if you are intrested in looking for your self or even test driving the vehicle, please call or leave me a message at 425-319-9845.
Thank You For Your Time!!!
