Default 1998 Volvo S70 T5 wont start

After driving around my subdivision for over 6 hrs looking for my escaped dogs, I stopped for a nature call. When I tried to restart the car, it just spun and spun but never fired. Prior to this the only problem I had was cold starting - but as long as I revved the engine a little while, it would finally idle. This is what I;ve done so far:
Checked fuel pump relay - working
checked fuel pump - working
checked fuel rail pressure - good
replaced coil, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor & rotor but still no fire jumping from a plug I pulled
I checked the voltage to the coil - both the blue & red wire have @14volts when checked individually to ground with the key turned ON
I even tried disconnecting the MAF sensor - no change - still no fire to plugs - Is it possible that my new coil is bad?
What else can I check?
