1999 s70 cold idle issues

New to Volvo forum.i recently bought 99 s70 two weeks ago.clean car 220,000 miles auto.ended up swapping out abs module last week to fix that issue.
now on initial start up while cold it seems to have a miss.once warm it runs and drives fine.any advice on where to start trouble shooting. Tia

Check the coolant temperature sensor. It is located right underneath the thermostat in the thermostat housing. Does the temperature gauge act ok? Outside of that, since you don't know the last time it was done, I would simply suggest a full stage 1 tune up. New plugs (Volvo OEM) plug wires, coil, distributor cap and rotor, new fuel and air filters......

Thanks Glenn,
just got your msg.after i poster Friday I grabbed some plugs and changed them Saturday night.one of the coils had a bit of corrosion where the spring attatches.pulled that apart and cleaned it also.plug wires look fairly new as well as air filter. Ended up pulling maf also and cleaning it.seemed to do the trick.ill still probably finish doing the rest of maintenance you mentioned just for peace of mind.
thanks again, rob
