2000 S70 T5 issues
I have had my s70 about 3 years now and it's been great up until i left for college and let my mom drive it for a year. I get back and the ride is softer and sounds bad and the engine does this odd idle where it rev's and sounds like it's trying to keep it self "alive." I have been to a few mechanics and none have been able to help they all say its to take it to the volvo dealer to have the recall checked did that and volvo said that wasn't the issue. I just got back from the emissions testing and it failed due to obd codes P1332 and P0243. I haven't seen the last code before at my mechanic so i'm wondering if that could be what is messing with the engine. And also if there is some way to pass emissions with the check engine light on. Help is very appreciated thanks a lot.

Those cars have a common problem with the electronic throttle control. Vacuum could also be a problem. If other shops can not take care of it, you will have to let the stealer help you. You can ask the dealer if all recalls have been done on the car, if not, instruct them to take care of them. Have no idea if that will fix your problems.
As for the ride, it's a 11 year old car with who knows how many miles on it. If mom has been hitting land minds the old shocks could be gone or some other suspension could now be worn out. Common for all fwd cars at this age (in other words, not mom's fault). Also, you should have your motor mounts checked.
