Default 99 S70 Rear brakes

I can't wrap my head around how to change the rear brakes on my 99 S70. I took them apart (like i thought i should) and brake fliud started leaking. How do you change rear brake shoes?

BTW, this is my first Volvo & LOVE IT!

You have to Tap the pins out of the calipers for the pads to come out.

Default 99 S70 brakes

Thanx. One more quick question. I just had the master Cylinder replaced and the brakes feel...mushy...
They are not firm at the top like I am accustome to in other vehicles. Is this normal or should the brakes be firm? Seems like a vehicle of this caliber would have precision braking.

Have them bled.

The R/R is prone to having air trapped in it.

The pedal should feel pretty firm.
