My 98 T5 has no antenna mast (well, I found it broken under a spare tire). The antenna motor appears to be working fine, it turns on every time I turn on radio. Should I replace the entire antenna or can I replace the mast alone? I am asking this question because someone sells original masts on ebay. Thanks

 

It is a simple operation to replace the mast alone. Just feed the cable in and eureka...............you have a radio!

You can replace the Mast only. BUT..... if the old one had the plastic break off inside the motor you will need to remove the motor and remove the old plastic peice.
