blower motor, maybe

RE: Climate Control
Does the lights flash?
|
RE: Climate Control
I'm actually having mine replaced today, as it would come on for a second or two then cut out. The orange lights on the CC started blinking.

RE: Climate Control
I'm having the same problem with my 99.... orange lights on the A/C Off button and the cabin air flow recirc button flash on and off for 10 seconds and the blower cuts off a few seconds after the car is started. My tech says it's probably a cabin temperature sensor. Won't know for sure until he pulls the code.

RE: Climate Control
My CC lights would flash as well when I started the car. I replaced the cabin sensor in the dash and it corrected the problem. I took the sensor apart and found out the little fan inside would stop turning.

ORIGINAL: tech Does the lights flash? |
RE: Climate Control
Yes very possible that it is both the motor and resistor.
|
RE: Climate Control
So thats the most possible problem. If that is any idea on the price to fix on parts?

RE: Climate Control
Oh I forgot to add. When Im driving on the high way going 60-80 the heat does blow but when I get off it cuts off again

RE: Climate Control
Most likely it is just air coming from the center vents you must have the one switch next to the center vents set on fresh air.

RE: Climate Control
Ok I looked around and I found some blower motors. My dad said he has a resitor laying around. But for blower moter I have two options One is Behr that cost $222.95 or Scan-Tech wich is 170.95. Do you know which one is better. My guess is Behr cuz it costs more =/
|
RE: Climate Control
Scan-Tech is usually junk.
If you can buy the Behr one. |
RE: Climate Control
Ok cool getting payed this friday so money is gonna go there lol. Thanks for the help tech ill keep you posted if problem still remains.
|
RE: Climate Control
You should be fine once the new motor and resistor is in.
|
RE: Climate Control
Well i got my motor and turns out the resistor was good some how...But everything works now and I can finally enjoy driving my car once again =). BTW any good companies for a cold air intake for my car =)
|
RE: Climate Control
Be careful the resistor might also still be bad. The resistor usually gets damaged when the motor goes bad.
