Default Code 1308

I REPLACED what I thought was a faulty accelerator SENSOR.
I used a cheap Scanner to erase the code,it says erased but as soon as I start the car the CEL came back on.
Do I need to use a better Scanner that have option to reset or is it another problem.

Any OBD-II reader that can read the codes should be able to erase them. The code you posted is for "accelerometer signal too high." That one often indicates a wiring fault rather than a sensor fault. It can also indicate a problem with several other sensors that share a power connection inside the ECM. PM me your email- I'll send you something that should be of great help in diagnosing this.
