just problems with my car, i think im cursed!

ok so i replaced my radiator and the coolent just kept going in when i got home i found that it was all leaking out of the tranny.
turns out that the tank on the radiator that hold the oil for the tranny went straight to the water part of the radiator so now i have a tranny full of antifreez and cooling system full of oil.
another thing is when i just cjanged everything and rove the car it shifter into third very hard first i thought i hit a pot hole but figured out thats the tranny.
what should i do now im lost and need my car fixed fast because i need to get to work!

Well, you HAVE to do a tranny flush. Then figure out how the radiator cause the problem in the first place.

i already know cause i took the radoator back off got a garden hose and stick it into the place were the bottom hose goes and started filling it up and the water was coming out were you plug in the transmition oil tubes.

how do i flush the tranny
just pour out all the crap thats in it or do i have to clean it out somehow?

I would flush it with the kit from iPd. Any other method would be less effective. You don't want to destroy the tranny. Hopefully it's not to late.

That just happened to my 94 850..
I will be flushing the trans, changing the filter and hoping for the best.
I am pretty sure I will be adding an external cooler, to make sure that wont evwr happen again, plus its much cheaper than the cost of a radiator..
Remember you will have to flush the radiator too, also the cars cooling passages.
Ill post more as I get into it..

.

What just happened to you? I believe he said he problem was as a result of a bad NEW radiator.
What filter will you be replacing?
What will be cheaper than a radiator?

Well, I am fixing some stuff in my 94 850, have not driven it for a couple years and decided to get it up to par. Fixed the ac, radio and a couple more things, still got to change front wheel bearings and such.
The arrow in the dash started flashing, ao I rocked the shifter a few times and went half a mile to get gas.
When I returned I popped the hood to check fluids and such, noticed the radiator canister with brown water, opened it and what I belieced to be rust was oil mixed with the water. Checked the trans fluid and had the same color, like quick/ chocolate milk.

Seems like its common for the radiator trans oil cooling plumbing to get damaged and do that.

Talked to the head mechanic at our local volvo dealer and he said it would be easier and cheaper to add an external oil cooler for the trans, instead of a new radiator. Of course after doing so, you need to plug the radiator by the trans cooler inlets.

Have to flush the trans, theres also a filter in it under a crank cover (?) and hope for the best.

This is an old radiator, but same situation..
