Need help

I have a 1998 V70 Inline 5 turbo. A buddy a I just got done doing a head gasket on the car and are have having some drive ability issues. The car is very hard to start. The car bogs under load and at idle when you hit the gas. I'm not sure if this is a timing issue. The crank has two marks on the top of the teeth. I aligned the marks on the block in the middle of these two marks which would be in a groove. The cams are aligned with the timing marks on the cover. My chiltons guide only mentioned one mark on the crank gear which was less than helpful. Can a Cam sensor or the distributor be to blame for a problem like this. Does this sound like a vacuum problem? I can use all the help out there on this. Thanks

Sounds like a vacuum problem. I don't think it's a cam sensor problem. Also, if timing belt alignment was off, you would have major problems so I don't think that is an issue.

Do you have a cel?

I have hooked up my obd2 and I have a MAF sensor code and a ECT code. My ECT sensor is bad and the MAF code is most likely a vacuum leak. I have ordered the sensor. I have one white hose on the air intake hose that I have no idea where it goes. That I could really use some help on that. I sure that hose is what is causing the AMF sensor leak. The two codes that I'm pulling are PO118 for the ECT. I cant remeber what code the MAF is dropping. What is a CEL.

Post a pic of the hose.

Here is link tell if this works. Also I am now pulling a PO305 misfire cylinder 2. The car has new plugs. I am going to be doing a new timing belt tomorrow. When I set the timing last. I used the old belt and I have a strong feeling that the belt has not been changed. The car has 160xxx on it. The timing marks would not line up perfect the last time. When I went to put the belt on after aligning all the marks the belt would not allow the the marks to be lined up right. So the belt is streched and needs to be replaced. Would this cause the car the trip a code and miss fire? This sounds like a dumb question because obliviously it would but I have started the car many times since then and it has not trip this code.
