Please Help!! Volvo s70
Hello, my 1998 S70 was driving fine yesturday; right when i pulled into my spot at work it kind of "sputtered out". It starts and the radio turns, etc. But it dies after a couple moments. I also felt as if gas or a sulfur smell was in the air. When its running it runs hard and the steering wheel almost shakes, then there is a clear loss in power and i just kill the engine. I live in Mass so temps are low and there has been snow on the ground for about 2 weeks. I did some research...frozen fuel lines? Please HELP PLEASE!!! thank you! -tyler

Any codes thrown?, if so what are they?

Do you have a CEL (Check Engine Light)? If so, you will need to get the cars computer read with a code reader to see what system or systems is having problem(s).
It really could be a number of problems. The most common are: - Bad spark plug wire(s) - Bad spark plug or something causing misfire. - Fuel delivery problem(s) like fuel regulator or main fuel pump problems. - Vacuum problem(s) like idle control valve, loose vacuum hose, etc. So there are a number of things that could cause the car to run rough. We really need more information to help you. |
