pnp sensor
 

i have a1998 volvo s70 non turbo trans went bad. i put in a trans from a salvage yard vehicle ran great for a day then the flashing arrow light started blinking as well as the w,e,s, lights on the shifter, vehicle pulled sluggish in gear but reverse was strong. i pulled the codes from the check engine light being on , there was a p0705 code which was the PnP sensor. i replaced the sensor with the one from the old trans an it drove fine for another an now its back to the same issues as before. Does any great minds here have a clue as to what could be making this sensor go bad all of a sudden. thank you in advance

Update! I took the PNP sensor out an took it apart an cleaned all the internal components. I reinstalled the sensor, cleared the code an the car is doing what it supposed to do. Gonna drive tomorrow an see how it holds up. But for now so far so good!
