Default power windows

I have a 1999 s70. The power windows and sun roof are not working. It is not a fuse problem and there is nothing blocking the windows either. The back windows are down and won't go up and the front windows are up and won't go down. I would appreciate all the help I can get!

Is this from the master control only? or do the ones on each individual door not work aswell?

Well, it can be a few things wrong, bad wiring, bad motors, or bad switches. You might want to check to see if your getting any voltage through the lines before anything. Then work from there.

It may be the master switch, I know in the wiring diagrams it and th sunroof are two seperate circuits but replacing the master switch can fix this issue, I don't know why. Also I do believe the same relay powers both circuits.

I agree with volvo cars on this one. I dont know much about these cars yet, but I am currently having the same problem. I was told the same thing, but I didnt want to buy a master switch unless I knew that was the problem. I took it to a mechanic and it was my problem. Also they are both run off the same fuse/circuit breaker (#37 I think. Check the owners manual under fuses.) To get to it you need to take the cover off your fuse box (just 4 torx screws) Check that to make sure there is nothing obviously wrong. I wish I could be more help, but I wanted to inform you about my experience.

All the controls do not work. I was planning on taking the door panel off but only as a last resort. The manual says "there may be something blocking the window" but nothing is visible so i guess i should take it somewhere.

I dont think you would have the same problem on all 4 windows if it were somthing blocking it.
