question about battery venting

so my battery finally gave up, it apparently had been quietly venting for months without me noticing, I swapped out the battery and installed the new one. My question though is that there was a good amount of acid poured through my car in the area under the battery, is there anything under there that I need to check for damage? when swapping the battery I noticed that one of the two bolts that holds the battery platform had so much corrosion on it it looked to be about 2-3 times larger than normal and looked like a cartoon parody of the other bolt. obviously I plan on replacing the other bolt but it makes me concerned for other damage that this may have caused (in the final days of the battery it had started dripping out the bottom of the car)

Unbolt the battery tray, and wash it. Make a solution of baking soda and water, and put it in a spray bottle. Heavily spray the whole area around where the battery goes with this solution, making sure to get the frame rail and into any nooks and crannies. This will neutralize any remaining acid. Rinse with plain water from a hose nozzle. After it dries, look carefully at all painted surfaces to make sure the paint is still good. If there are places with peeled paint, clean any rust and coat with primer. Put the battery tray back in, and reinstall the battery.
