Default rpm drop at idling

Hey all,

My car has not been idling properly lately, for example at a red light it'll drop to about 500 rpm and back up to the regular 900.
Just changed the plugs and fuel filter so I don't think it has anything to do with that.

Any ideas ?

Loose or torn Vacuum, MAF, dirty throttle body.

Have this feeling it has to do with the famous ETM issue. I'm beyond the 200000(10 yr) free replacement from Volvo.
I believe these are the first signs and symptoms from what I've read.

Default yes, I'm going through the same

I'm still working on the diagnosis as the symptoms have actually lessened quite a bit lately. Though I think the ETMs are a gradual thing, becoming worse over time.

My ETM (easy, easy removal on a 2000 S70) was very clean. But I've also read that resetting your battery/ETM and/or changing MAF can still do the trick. Go here before the full ETM swap. the xemodex ETM is pricey at $500-something USD but still the cheapest option I've come across.
