Trunk Latch Part #?
 

Anyone know the part number for the latch that locks the trunk down? The mechanism inside seems to not be latching now and the trunk is now permanently open. Or reference to a online discount store as I tried a few and nothing came up with them caring that.

Have you checked a salvage yard?

I also had this issue and discovered that the emergency trunk release had come out of the clip. After I clipped it back in place, the trunk closes now!

thanks for this thread. I'm also replacing the trunk handle this week and I was stumped about how to remove the chrome trim properly.
