My 1999 s70 is having a trunk issue. When I unlock the car with remote, use the trunk button, or try the driver door trunk release, the trunk will not open. I need to use the key to unlock it. I referred to the manual to look at the trunk lock disabling feature. I tried disabling it then re-enabling it to no avail. Is there some kind of fuse or wire that would cause this to not work properly? It's a sizable pain in the neck so I'd like to fix it.

Usually when that happens the latch assembly is bad.
