warning chime will not stop

I'm working on a 2000 s70. The warning chime dings non stop, and the #15 fuse keeps blowing. This is my girlfriends car, and I have never worked on a Volvo before, but I'm not afraid to take anything apart. Could this be a seat belt warning issue?
I appreciate any and all suggestions.

if the fuse is blowing, that says you have a short somewhere. Look around under the front seats to see if a wire or connector got pinched by the seat rail.

Ok, thanks, the chime still sounds off even with a blown fuse.
I don't have an owner manual for the car, so I'm in the dark about what is on that particular circuit.
I'm puzzled about where the door switch is. I'm looking for a button switch, but I can't find one.
The fuse in question services the dome light panel and glove box light, but I don't understand the connection with the chime.
My GF says it all started when the switch panel for the dome light fell out of the roof and she tried to put it back. Apparently there were issues before she bought the car, and someone that didn't have a clue started messing with it a broke some plastic pieces.
I'll look under the seat tomorrow, and see what I can find.
Thank you kindly for your response.

in your car, fuse #15 is shared by the courtesy lights, door open warning lights, trunk/cargo space light, seat belt reminder and the glove compartment light. So with that in mind, the dome light and the seat belt reminder are connected. I'd probably start with looking at the wires going to dome light switch panel to see if something is amiss. Could be that the seat belt reminder needs that circuit intact? After that, you're due a trip to Volvo Wiring Diagrams (no kidding... a real site with PDFs on wiring details)
