01 s80 t6

Hello persons, just got me an S80 T6.
It does not run.
The person I got it from had no info other than - it just would not start one day.
Had a V70 2.4T - Eng Control Module went out in it. Such a night mare, I got rid of the car.
Is the 01 S80 also known for problems with the ECU/ECM?
Anyone - thanks in advance.
Ed

Oh I tried search, sorry nothing came up.

An update, computer checks out - good news.
Bad news, even though timing belt looks ok and all timing marks line up - crank and cams.
There is no compression in any of the cylinders, motor spins freely both by hand and with the starter, there are no abnormal noises when the motor is spinning.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated?

looks like the head will have to come off.
there is no compression "40%leakdown on every cylinder".
Now how did this happen when the timing belt is in good standing and all marks are dead on.
Hopefully the answer will come when the head is off.
I'm betting the advancer in the intake cam is messed up and this allowed the intake cam to hold the intake valves open at the wrong time.
in any case, should be fun.

Well if anyone is following this story.
I now have the head off, all the valves on the intake side are bent, "kissed the pistons"
Cause, The advancer on the intake cam failed and this allowed the cam to float.
So after a new advancer, valves, timing belt, water pump, I should have a very nice S80 for about $1000.00.
Next post in a week or 2, hopefully the car is back on the road by then.
