01 S80 T6 blinkers

when we use the left blinker, it kind of stalls, or blinks real fast for a second or two, then goes back to regular cycles. The right blinker seems unaffected. Any ideas?

The blinker bulb could be going out.

I know from past cars that a fast blinker is a indication of a blown bulb; however, this is intermittent, and only for a second. If a bulb is blown, it should stay a fast cycle, not return to normal. It has a few times just paused and not blinked. I have seen on past posts the number of on board cpu's this thing has, and just am wondering what costly issue is waiting for me,......

I had a turn signal issue that ended up being a software problem.

Either the Bulb or the turn signal switch.
Both are common to fail.

The turn signal switch I think is like $50.00 to $60.00 or so.
The Bulbs are pretty cheap.

If it just annoy's you then replace it when you can.

Usually easy way to tell if it is the switch is when it acts up move the stalk a little more and if it goes back to normal the switch is bad.
