02 s80 tensioner pully wheel failed
Making the serpentine belt fail. Which then got entangled behind the camshaft pulley. I got it all out from behind it and out a new wheel on and also a new belt. Now the car has a rough idle, is using more gas, also has no power. Is there a camshaft sensor or something in that side of the engine that could have been compromised from the belt flying around?

Nope, probably bent some valves when the timing was messed up.
How do I see if this has occurred?
Compression test and even better, cylinder leakage test. If the timing was thrown off, which it more than likely was, this is what happens. I've seen it several times.
The exhaust sounds almost like it's plugged too. Engine seems tight. Like a tooth advanced. I'm trying to locate a compression tester. Hopefully it's just valves and no holes in pistons.
I had disconnected the battery too before I started it to see if the warning light would come back on. I don't know if volvo has something in place that has to be done after disconnecting the battery but thought I'd bring it up just incase. I'm a newb to volvo

Smittys, what was the millage when your tensioner pulley wheel failed?
The car has 110 on the dash but while installing the wheel and serpentine I noticed paint pen on each side of the motor. So I'm guessing it got swapped at some point. The timing belt is aged and has some cracks in it. So I'm guessing the motor has about the same as the car
