I just replaced my cat 1999 s80 2.9L about a year ago. No problems yet. I purchased a Davico Brand from Mac Auto Parts. This is the exact one I purchased (see first link below) it was exact fit OEM. You will need to get bolts and gaskets for the CAT. I just went to local Volvo dealer for those. On the O2 sensors Go with Bosch dont mess around with those off brand O2's. I got mine at fcpgroton (second link below). Only needed the front as I was throwing code P0050.

Also, I do a lot of my own work on my S80 (168K now) but I would not attempt to install the CAT yourself. The CAT is attached to the exhaust (Y pipe area) with SS revits and must be torched off. I just took my parts into Merlin Muffler talked to the guy there and they had no problem putting in the cat and O2's for the labor. Install ran $120 well worth it to me. All my Parts $379 (CAT), $200 (O2)+ bolts/gaskets.

So for $700 - $800 I was happy. No codes and passed emmisions.

Hope this helps.
