1999 S80 non-turbo with many problems.

I have recently purchased a 1999 S80 non-turbo from a shady dealership. Car had been brought in from an auto auction and had been sitting for a while. It seems to be falling apart and I do not have the money or means to take it to get it fixed at a shop. I need as much help as I can receive to maybe be able to start fixing things myself. I need pointed in the right direction!! Please help me.

I believe my thermostat is stuck open and I can not find anything to let me know how to replace it. I can get the part but I'm not sure as to where to put it. I have absolutely no heat and my transmission does not shift right. Half the time it wants to stall when I've been driving for a little bit and my temperature gauge doesn't work correctly. We've had a few pretty cold days already here and the car will have sat all night, but when I start it and start driving, it takes probably 5 minutes for it to be completely heated up.

Also, something is wrong with my Power Steering. I've had the car for almost 2 months now. When I first started driving it, the reservoir was a little on the low side, so I added some to it. The whole time I've been driving, it has basically been staying completely full. Like it wasn't going anywhere but I never had any problems. When I got off work last night, I went to leave and I had absolutely no power steering. I stopped at the gas station and checked and it was completely empty. Not a single drop. So I bought some and added it. It didn't work 100% but it was better than it had been on the way. It sat for probably 3 hours and when I went to leave again, it was completely empty.

These are just my 2 major problems at the moment that I need fixed. It's about to be winter and I would like to have heat and I need power steering.
Please help. Sorry for the long post. I am open to all suggestions at the moment. I just don't have hundreds of dollars to spend at a shop right now and I also don't have the means to have it kept there for a few days or weeks.
Thank you in advance.
