1999 S80 T6 Transmission Code

My s80 transmission has been slipping into 2nd gear lately. Once the car comes to temperature it has no problems shifting at all, but on those morning starts it just revs and revs in first, so I have to park it and let it run. Voila, it shifts fine.
Finally spit a code
TCM-000B Shift Solenoid S1. Hydraulic Fault.
If it is anything too much over $1000 I think I am going to trade it in with the code cleared, but who knows, might be something cheap. Has anyone heard of such a code, or have any suggestions?

If I don't know when it was last flushed, should I flush it?

You can try flushing it.
But you may need to have the soleniod replaced.

Hi I red your post, I have Volvo s80 1999 (145K KM) but I been getting my car warmer every morning before going on the road without knowing that my transmission has such problem. but yesterday when I gave it a full throttle it gives me "Transmission Service urgent" so I decided to visit Uncle Sam for check...and guess what he told me the same that you have to warm your car before get on the road, and there is no assurance how long my car keep running like this. Surly it has solenoid problem. He did not gave me the code.

Have you fixed your problem? If yes How?

Thanks. Bye.
