2000 S80 beeping after locked, dealer said "Siren Fault"
Thanks for reading,
2000 S80, it starts beeping after I lock it, it's the siren beeping in a low volume. Dealer said its "Siren Fault", cost $450 to repair it. I was wondering, is there anyway I could repair it by myself? Do I need a new siren or what? Any suggestions will be appreciated!!! Thanks a million! |
try a search. Some great pictures how to do it yourself.

Can I just deactivate the alarm siren, just to stop the beeping, I don't really need the alarm that bad

Dunno....i'm having that same issue with my 99/2000 s80. Is there a way to just deactivate the siren?...still researching
|
I don't think you can deactivate it as most of the systems are interlinked in some form or fashion, just removing it will cause other issues/warnings.

I just had to change my siren.. I picked up a used siren with lifetime warranty for $75 shipped from erie vovo and then paid a shop 1 hour to install the new siren..
Before I did this, my battery used to run flat if I didnt start the car for a week, since I fixed it everything works great... The dealer is trying to rip you off though |
