2001 S80 T6 Transmission Woes

Under WOT, I am getting a harsh shutter during the 1st to 2nd Shift. It shutters every so slightly at lower speeds, but it is still there. Is the harsh shuttering/shaking when shifting serious issue or is there something minor that could cause this? The fluid has recently been changed by the dealer and it currently is a slightly off red with some black specks in it. In addition, it has a pretty harsh acrid alcohol or some kind of off odor. I am trying to determine if the car is worth putting more money into or should I consider cutting my losses. Assuming it's an indication the tranny is going out what are my options/expenses?

I see the posts referring to the valve body that causes too much line pressure burning out the tranny. Is there a cure for this during the rebuild or is it something we just have to live with?

I really want to keep the car. The performance and mileage of the new SHO from what I can tell with a smaller displacement engine!

Transmission Fill Tube Leaking around base

Hey All,
I had the transmission rebuilt and the tech is having trouble getting the dipstick tube to quit leaking at the base. Apparently, there was some kind of issue on getting the tube back in once the tranny was mounted to the bell housing, they had to pull it back out to get that fixed. A new O-ring/gasket was used during the install. Is there a trick on getting this thing set back up during the installation and not leaking?

By the way, the transmission had a severe shutter during shifting, severe slipping at higher rpms and we found out one of the planetary gears was destroying the race and the bands were pretty much all gone. All of this with no codes or transmission lights on the dash. The clutches/beltes

Thanks in advance,
