2002 2.0T B5204T5 issues
I’m preparing my car for the bi-annual EU inspection and have a few issues that I’m hoping someone can help me with.
My odometer has stopped counting, and both the average speed and fuel economy functions are no longer working.
I’m also getting a “Bromsfel – stanna snarast” (“Brake failure – stop immediately”) message. The brakes themselves seem to work fine, but I have faults related to the ABS sensors. The front left and front right sensors constantly read around 0.60, and then switch to N/A above a certain speed. Similar behavior occurs with the other ABS sensors as well. As a result, I currently have no ABS or DSTC functionality.
I’m suspecting faulty ABS tone rings, but I’m not sure. Has anyone experienced something similar or have any ideas what could be causing this?
I also have very heavy power steering, although I suspect that may be due to a failing power steering pump.
The car is a 2002 Volvo S80 2.0T.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
