2002 S80 125000 miles Is it worth it
 

Dealership just called and said we have 2 bad fuel injectors, oil leak which messed up timing belt so it need to be replaced as well as engine seals, 2 broken engine mounts, front and rear engine field leaking (PCV stopped working) spark plugs need to be replaced and back breaks need to be replaced. All costing about $3500.00. Is it worth it to replace all of these things and hope the car lasts another 2 years or is it time to walk away????

Try a local shop. Those prices are very high.

It will take some homework, but if you're in an area where they sell a lot of Volvos (like Massachussetts ;-)), there will likely be some independent shops that specialize in Volvo repair. I've got two of those within 10 miles of my house!

If the motor and trans are still running nicely....then yes. But do not get work done at dealer like the others suggest. Find a good volvo mech and the price will be a lot lower. I have 170K on the dial and my S80 runs like new. The oil trap/PCV that is clogged my be causing all of your oil leaks, as that will add additional pressure to motor.

Some of those repairs are pretty easy - even within the range of a person with moderate experiance. Have you changed out that timing belt back at 100K? If not it is past due any way. The question is always " What can I buy for $3500?" Don't know about where you are but I'm in Texas and that kinda money will get you 10 year old volvo or a 5 year old Chevy. But I would doubt that you would get 2 or 3 years of trouble free driving out of either.

My plan would be to have Volvo fix the oil trap and take it to an independant for the mounts. Then drive it for a few weeks to see if you're still leaking. If not have the independant do the plugs, brakes (insist on OEM parts) and timing belt. Someplace along the line I'd dump some Seafoam in it to see if that would clean the injectors.
