2002 S80 Climate Control Module problem

My CCM stopped working. I tried the reset by jumping battery cables, turning key to different ignition positions, in researching I found many different procedures to try any reset the CCM, none of which seemed to work. From reading other posts, it seems like I can not just get a used CCM and install as the software also needs to be re-installed to mate it to the car. My questions are:

If I get VIDA and Dice, would I be able perform this? I have been thinking of getting VIDA and have been going cross eyed trying to determine which version of VIDA to buy, and where to buy a reliable copy from, so any comments as to that would be appreciated.

Has anyone ever used a company to repair the CCM? I contacted AES and MASrepair, but neither do.

Thanks,
EChem

Yes Steve. I purchased one off of EBay for $75. Knew it was from a near production run car as mine as mine was an anniversary edition. Had a plaque on the ECM as being "XXX of 500". Plugged right in and everything worked and it still is over a year later.
