Exclamation 2004 S80 Running lights always on

My battery is being drained from my running light in the BACK always being on no matter the state of the car. I need to know what problem so I can fix it myself. I sorta have a feeling its the relay but my owners manual does not tell me anything about relays sadly. Also, my ABS waring light is on but I know what is causing that and don't think they could be related but I really do not know. What do you guys think it could be? I am so so so thankful for anyone who takes the time to help me, seriously. This is my first car in over 10 years and need it fixed before the 9th of Aug so I can start work again. Thank you!!!!

I trust your light switch is in the off or on position (not the center) and the key is turned off. Fuses 30 and 31 in the C fusebox (on the drivers end of the dash board) are for the left and right parking lights (both front and rear). Do the lights go out when you remove the fuses? If so the CEM is sending the wrong signal. Lighting problems are common with CEM's. There is a relay for ALL front and rear parking lights located on the CEM. It's 2/61 in the diagram. If just the rear lights are on they are powered through a shunt for each side on the REM (which I still don't understand what a shunt is, but never saw a bad one) Those are 20/28 and 20/33 in the diagram. The taillamps are 10/18 and 10/17 in the diagram, front lights are 10/1 and 10/2 If you need/have CEM problems a company such as xemodex.com can solve them.

The first step for an ABS light would be a scan with a compatible scan tool. Those codes might point you in the right direction for a solution.

Ive had a similar power drain issue in my 2004 Volvo S80. I checked the voltage of the battery and turned out it wasn’t holding a charge so it might be worth the check. I know the light switch can be a pain since there doesn’t really seem to be an off option. I hope its a simple fix ill look more into it and provide anything I can find. Good luck.
