2008 S80 Plugs/cig lighter output
 

I had 2 questions for anyone that could help first is.
I'm looking for the best spark plugs for my 2008 s80?
Next. I'm having issues with cig lighter output it wont produce enough output to charge my phone or any electronics that goes for all outlets don't know if anyone might think its a fuse or something worse. Any help would be great.

I always use Volvo plugs. You can check the owners manual to see if others are recommended.

If its not a fuse its definitely something worse. Try the fuse first and if that don't work , come back and tell us that you have checked the fuse before we go into details about the electric system for your cigarette lighter. Yes Volvo plugs are the best ones.

Ok, I'll pick this one up. Same with our XC 90. Neither lighter socket works. The one fuse (position 11 under the drivers dash) is good. Measured for voltage at the wiring connector behind the lighter where there are two purple wires and one black.
Black has continuity to vehicle ground. No voltage on purple wire. (Key ON, of course).

Is there something between the fuse and the back of the lighter socket?

I had a similar problem in my wife's 2008 s80. The cigarette lighter is next to where she put her drinks. It looks like some liquids splashed into the socket and caused some corrosion. I used some steel wool or something and scraped the corrosion away. it seems to work fine now.
