2008 S80 T6 timing belt schedule
 

I am drooling over a S80 T6, trying to convince the wife... :) The vehicle has 74k miles. What is the interval for timing belts on the 2008 model year?
Anything else to ask about since the vehicle is approaching 100k? Also, were 07 and 08 models the same body style?

just a quick google will solve all the problems.
74K miles is just too low for thinking of timing belt change. For a 5 cyl its 120,000miles. So is the spark plug.
Yes the 2007 and 2008 are same body style. 2006 was last year of old body style.

There is no timing belt on that engine.

Yeah, your info for the 5 cylinder is correct. The new body style S80 uses an inline 6 with a timing chain.

Here is a link to the car I really am liking, but due to my own time frame issues, it may not be the one. I am definitely wanting an S80 T6 in the 07 to 09 range. I think the price of this one is pretty good...

nice S80. but 2 things i dont like on that car. One is the wheels design and that interior wood colour. Not my taste. But do like the options.
Also what is those 2 things: blue looking thing and the one next to it (with a number and bars @ side) . Those look like aftermarket to me.

One is the Volvo dealer installed Bluetooth setup and the other is an aftermarket park assist.

Did you notice the window lock/unlock button is missing from the driver's door? Wonder if that is tough to replace? It would drive me nuts to have it missing...

ooya i just noticed it too..will have to call the nearest volvo dealer for parts on that. Or junkyard if its too expensive

I've been hitting up eBay, Craigslist, and Auto Trader to look for '07 to '09 AWD S80's. Can you think of anywhere else to look? My local Volvo dealer only has 2011 and above which I can't afford. I'm trying to stay under $18K...

Hello, I'm new to this forum. I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on the replacement of a timing chain in my Volvo engine. 2008 Volvo S80 T6 with 125,000 miles. I have replaced a belt on other engines, but was wondering on the procedure for doing so on this engine. Any insight or information of any kind pointing me in the right direction would be great. Thanks in advance.
