2008 S80 V8, 65k Miles, Too Risky?
 

I have driven a 2010 S80 with the base inline 6 and a 2011 S80 with base inline 6. Loved both cars. It didn't have quite the road feel and handling of my other cars, but this car I just want for comfortable highway cruising, commuting, and errands.

Therefore, I found a 2008 with the Yamaha built V8. I love the idea of the V8. The car has 65,000 miles.

How risky do you Volvo and S80 owners see this car? I haven't read terrible things about the V8 in 2008+, but have I missed anything?

What about the car itself? Suspension components, electronics, odd wear and tear items? Is this car going to be an enormous worry, or at 65k miles is it still going to be most likely, no guarantee, a reliable car?

I appreciate your feedback/advice. I'd love to have this car in my driveway, but I do not want to make a big mistake either. 2008 and 65k miles is getting a bit older, but then again I feel a S80 is a car built to last well beyond that.
