2012 S80 NAVi North America Update.
 

I purchased a 2012 Volvo S80 in January of 2015 in Anchorage Alaska. The vehicle was originally purchased in Germany and has Europe maps installed i believe. I am trying to load North America maps into the navi. I contacted my local dealer to purchase the North America map DVD's. I went to the dealership and they referred me to a Volvo 800#. when I called the 800# i was referred to a company called Here Now Maps (previously NAVTEQ). They told me I had to purchase the DVD's from my dealership. I returned to the dealership and they told me the same thing they told me the first time. I then did a three way call w/ my local dealership and Here Now Maps. The same story, each was saying i had to get it from the other. I was able to find North America update DvD's on ebay and from what i can tell they are the correct maps. on the back say my S80 12-15. I purchased the maps and was told by the dealership and Here Maps that I needed to go to Volvo's website and enter my VIN and email address and I would receive an access code (which has also been referred to as activation code and PIN. When I entered the VIN and my email it said to "select part #" from a drop down list, but there was only one option and it did not match the part # on my DVD's. I returned to the dealership and they then told me I had to purchase a "PIN" for $200.00. I did and they ordered a "PIN". I tried the PIN and the NAVI system said invalid code. This has happened with every code I have been give by the dealership or ordered on this site. I have been working on this issue for three weeks. The dealership, the 800# and Here Maps keep telling me i have to go to one of the others. I have been told I need to purchase another map, that the Europe maps need to be removed first and a couple of other things. Any help would be great.
