99 T6, P1332; looking for next steps
Hi all,
Been working on my mom's 99 S80 T6 for several months trying to get it in shape, likely to sell/trade on a convertible or some kind. We've been through quite a few issues but this one is persistent! The P1332 code keeps popping up. There is a second code with it but I can't recall at the moment. I can get it tonight/tomorrow. We just replaced the CVVT solenoid/Camshaft Reset Valve and still the light shines on the dash. Is my next best bet to look at the timing belt? The car is at about 115k and I don't know for certain that it has ever been replaced. Besides being a darn good idea anyway, is this the cause I am looking for? A long while back the thermostat was replaced; is this anywhere near the timing belt for things to have jumped? Unrelated I am sure, but there is also an "SRS AIRBAG" warning in the info center. I am told this can happen from leaving the battery disconnected for a certain amount of time. True? Short of having the dealer take my body parts is there any way to clear it? |
make sure the timing hasn't jumped a tooth. The VVTI unit could also be faulty.
The SRS fault can be cleared with a scan tool if it's not a true hard code. |
